Crowd Vision: live crowd analytics

LAW ENFORCEMENT

Keeping people safe is at the heart of the Law Enforcement mission. And people are more vulnerable in crowded places than in any other setting – more vulnerable to crime, more likely to get crushed, less able to escape when something goes wrong. Whether policing everyday community life, mega events or potentially violent protests, the police need intuitive and actionable real-time intelligence and situational awareness to maintain public order and safety.

Video surveillance has earned itself a bad name, so often seemingly ineffective and disliked for its intrusion into private lives. But it doesn't need to be like that.

Crowd Vision uses video to create a wide area view of the crowd – across networks of city streets, within transport hubs, at key events. We don't hunt out individuals or try to spot specific criminal events. Instead we provide a highly accurate, intuitive, real-time picture of the people in a location – how many are there, how they are clustering, how they are moving and how they might be in danger.
