Crowd Vision's founder and Chief Technology Officer – Dr Anders Johansson – is known on the world stage for his academic work in understanding, analysing and modelling crowds. From the early days of his PhD studies he was involved in exploring the cause of crushing disasters at the Hajj and developing concepts for providing early warnings of such crises before they occur. Crowd Vision was created with the intention of building on this broad academic background by developing crowd analytics software for the owners and operators of crowded places.

Today we not only sell our mature product, focused on the 'Safer Crowds' agenda, but also invest significant resources in developing next generation crowd analytics solutions. Our R&D agenda is broad, seeking not only to keep up with relevant trends in video sensors, other sensors, cloud-based surveillance and changing regulations and standards, but also to adapt our technology to new applications and environments. In doing so we seek to focus on priority customer needs and engineer user interfaces and analytics outputs that are intuitive and compelling.
